LightBay is looking for an MBA Intern for Summer 2022 who will work across the investment team, in-person in our Los Angeles office. This role requires excellent research and presentation skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform well in a team environment.

Primary job responsibilities include

  • Analyze active investment opportunities, presenting findings to deal lead professionals
  • Gather market research and business intelligence from public data sources/third-party resources
  • Identify, research, and engage with new investment opportunities aligned with the firm’s investment strategy
  • Assist with value-creation initiatives with portfolio companies, as applicable
  • Industries of focus:
    • Healthcare Services
    • Business/Tech-Enabled Services
    • Consumer Services

Requirements

  • Applicants must have a minimum of three years of work experience, preferably with a background in finance and/or research
  • Bachelor’s degree and current enrollment in an MBA program preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic
  • Passion for investing
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a team environment
